Your golden retriever, not a stock golden retriever
Every golden looks like a golden until it's yours on a shirt and the feathering is wrong. This starts from your photo, so the blaze on the chest, the darker ears, the exact wheat-to-cream gradient down the legs — those come out the way they are at home.

How this coat prints
A golden's coat is the easiest coat we print and the easiest to get lazy with. It carries a wide tonal range, from near-white feathering to deep russet at the ear, and that range is exactly what makes a print look three-dimensional instead of like a sticker. Because the tones are already separated, goldens hold detail on both dark and light shirts — one of the few coats that genuinely does.
The photo to use
Shoot in shade or on an overcast day. Direct sun blows the cream feathering to flat white and takes the ear detail with it — the two things that make your golden yours. Get level with the head rather than shooting down; from above, the muzzle foreshortens and every golden starts looking like the same generic dog.
Presets that suit this dog

Warm café light and a golden coat are the same palette, so the dog belongs in the scene rather than sitting on top of it.

Golden hour and a wheat-coloured coat were made for each other; this is the preset that flatters a golden the most.

One ink on a dark shirt turns the feathering into brushwork — the most gallery-like thing we make.
Questions
My golden is very light, almost white. Will the artwork disappear?
On a dark shirt, no — pale coats have the most contrast there. On ivory or butter, a very light golden can lose its edges, so we'd point you at black, navy or moss for a cream-coloured dog.
Can you keep the darker ears? They're the whole personality.
Yes, and that's the point of starting from your photo. Colour placement carries through: darker ears stay darker, a white chest blaze stays where it is.
Will it look like a painting or like my actual dog?
Both, depending on the preset. The photoreal presets keep it looking like the dog; One Ink and the illustrated styles are stylised on purpose, and you see the result free before you decide.
