What is in the scene
Your dog appears head and chest, proud and facing you, in front of a large vintage American flag with thirteen stripes and a blue canton of white stars. The flag is rendered as a worn, sun-faded, distressed screen print in brick red, deep navy and warm cream, and its edges break up into halftone dots and specks rather than ending in a straight line. Your dog stays a real photograph, and nothing is worn or held: no hat, no bandana, no bottle.
The photo that gets the best All-American
This is a straight portrait, so it rewards a straight photo: face-on, head level or lifted a touch, both ears fully in frame, in clear daylight. A proud, alert photo suits the flag better than a goofy one. An outdoor photo with light on the face beats a dim indoor one, because the flag behind your dog is bright and evenly lit.

How it prints
The dark version is keyed into black or true navy, and black is its home. The black of the artwork is bare shirt, and the dark distress marks across the flag are places where the shirt shows through, which is why the wear looks real instead of printed on. On true navy the darkest parts, a black coat included, become navy fabric. The light version is a separate file for white and ivory, built the other way round: its whites and palest creams are the shirt, and the reds, the navy and your dog are the ink.

All-American questions
Is there a version for white shirts?＋
Yes. All-American has a light version made for white and ivory, with its pale stripes left as bare shirt. Moving from a dark shirt to a light one means making a new preview, because the two versions are drawn separately.
Is it only for the Fourth of July?＋
No. It relies on a weathered flag rather than fireworks or a date, so it works as everyday Americana - Memorial Day, Labor Day, or an ordinary Tuesday.
Where is it printed?＋
