Privacy Policy

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

• Information you give us. Your email address, your pet's name, any text you add to a design, and the photos you upload. When you order, the name, shipping address and phone number you enter at checkout.
• Design and order records. The artwork generated for you, the options you chose (style, shirt color, size), and your order and fulfillment history.
• Payment information. Card details are entered on Shopify's checkout and processed by Shopify Payments. We never see or store your full card number.
• Technical and usage information. IP address, a randomly generated device identifier, browser type, and pages viewed. We use these to run the free-preview limits, prevent abuse and fix problems.
• Marketing analytics (only with consent). If you accept marketing cookies, the Meta Pixel records visits and actions so we can measure our advertising.

How we use your information

• To generate your design and show you a preview.
• To take payment, print your order and ship it to you.
• To send transactional messages (sign-in links, order updates).
• To send marketing email about new looks, drops and offers - only to addresses that entered them here or opted in, and every message has a one-click unsubscribe.
• To enforce fair use of free previews, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with our legal obligations.

Where required by law, our legal bases are: performance of a contract (fulfilling your order), consent (marketing email, marketing cookies), and legitimate interests (site security, abuse prevention, improving the product).

How long we keep it

Order records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes (generally seven years). Designs and uploaded photos are kept while your account or design is active. When a photo passes our upload checks we also keep a small internal copy for up to 30 days to review the quality of those checks; it is deleted automatically after that. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete you. You can ask us to delete anything sooner - see "Your rights" below.

Who processes it

We use trusted services to run the store: Supabase stores designs and accounts, OpenAI processes the photo you upload to generate the portrait, Shopify handles checkout and payments (we never see your card), our print partner (Printful) receives your name and shipping address to print and ship your order, and an email provider (Google Workspace, with Resend as a backup) delivers your sign-in links and order updates. If - and only if - you accept marketing cookies, we also send Meta (Facebook/Instagram) a one-way hashed copy of your email, name and postal area on a purchase, so we can measure which ads work. We don't sell your data, ever.

Cookies

Essential cookies and local storage keep your cart and sign-in working. Marketing tools (like the Meta Pixel that measures our ads) only run if you tap "Sounds good" on the cookie notice - you can decline and everything still works.

If you upload a pet photo, a small copy stays in your browser's local storage on this device so you can pick it again - it isn't uploaded anywhere from there, we drop it automatically once it's 30 days old, and you can remove it any time with the ✕ on the thumbnail (or "clear" to remove all of them).

Your designs stay yours

The "your recent creations" area on the create page shows only designs made on your own device or saved to your account. We do not publish your designs to other visitors.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You will never be treated differently for exercising these rights.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the marketing analytics described above, which run only with your consent.

Delete your data

Enter your email and we'll send a confirmation link. Clicking it permanently deletes everything we hold against that address - your newsletter entry, preview bonuses, your account and its saved designs. Records of completed purchases are kept with our commerce and print partners as required by law. Because deletion is triggered from your inbox, only you can delete your data.

Orders themselves are governed by our Terms: all sales are final - no refunds for change of mind; damaged or misprinted orders are reprinted or refunded.

Children

AiDogTee is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Want your photos, designs, or account data deleted - or a copy of what we hold? Email hello@aidogtee.com and we'll take care of it. Newsletter emails always include an unsubscribe link.
