How Royal Portrait is drawn
The rendering is renaissance oil - visible brushwork, deep chiaroscuro, ornate gold detail - with your pet in a crown and a velvet royal robe. The humour comes entirely from the sincerity of the technique. Nothing in the picture winks at you, which is why it works.
Which pets it suits
Breeds with a naturally solemn face are unbeatable here: bassets, danes, greyhounds, anything with heavy jowls or a long nose. A three-quarter head-and-shoulders photo composes best, because that is the angle formal portraiture has used for five hundred years and the style is built on those references.

How it prints
Oil paint has dark, warm shadows, and warm darks against a black garment can turn muddy where the two meet. Berry and yam both give the gold somewhere to sit while keeping the shadows readable. If you do want a dark shirt, pepper holds it better than pure black does.

Royal Lounge is a modern photo scene - crown, sunglasses, espresso. This is a repaint: the whole image becomes an oil painting. One changes the outfit, the other changes the medium.
Will the crown cover my dog's ears?๏ผ
It sits on the crown of the head, and upright ears usually frame it. Ear set is one of the features the generator is told never to alter, so whatever your dog has is what you get.
