What is in the scene
Your dog appears head and chest, happy and open-mouthed, wearing the ribbed collar of a red hand-knit Christmas sweater worked with white fair-isle snowflakes. The photo that gets the best Holiday Knit
This design is drawn around a happy face, so use the cheerful, open-mouthed photo rather than the dignified one. Head and chest facing the camera, both ears in frame, in daylight. The sweater collar is drawn at the neck, which means the throat and the top of the chest should be visible rather than hidden behind a paw or a blanket.

How it prints
Black is this design's shirt, with pepper as a softer charcoal, and there is a reason navy is not on the list. The print is keyed, so on a dark tee nothing dark gets ink: the black ground and the darkest fur are the shirt itself. On black, a black coat still looks black, lit along its edges. On navy the same coat would turn blue - fine for a white dog, wrong for a black one. The garland, the collar and the snowflakes print as solid knitted shapes with bare fabric around them.

Is it actually knitted?＋
No - it is a printed T-shirt. The stitches, the fair-isle pattern and the snowflakes are drawn into the artwork, so the knit texture is flat ink on cotton, not yarn.
When should I order for Christmas?＋
Early. Each shirt is printed after you approve the preview and typically takes 7-12 business days to arrive, so leave at least three weeks before the day you want to wear it.
Does my dog need to wear a sweater in the photo?＋
No. The collar is added by the design, so any clear photo of the head and chest works, and a real sweater can hide the neck and chest fur the drawing builds on.
