How Vintage Tattoo is drawn
American traditional flash: heavy black outlines, a deliberately limited colour palette, and a plain unlettered banner ribbon beneath your pet. The banner is empty on purpose - asked for a ribbon, image models fill it with garbled pseudo-lettering, and a blank banner is the honest version of the design.
Which pets it suits
Bold faces and clear markings. Traditional flash uses very few colours and thick black lines, so subtlety is simplified away and character is amplified. Bull breeds, huskies and anything with a mask or strong facial pattern come out excellent. A straight-on, symmetrical photo suits the tradition best.

Can the banner have my dog's name in it?＋
Not drawn into the banner - that is exactly the trap this style avoids, because generated lettering comes out malformed. Use the optional text field after generating and the name is typeset properly on the shirt.
Is this a design I could take to a tattoo artist?＋
It is artwork for a shirt, and it is yours to keep once you have it. Any real tattoo is a conversation with an artist who will redraw it for skin regardless.
How many colours does it use?＋
