What is in the scene
Your dog faces you head and chest, chin lifted slightly, beneath a small polished gold crown set with red and blue jewels. Around the shoulders sits a royal-red velvet cape collar trimmed with white ermine, little black tail spots and all, fastened across the chest with a gold chain. Behind the head, flat antique-gold sunburst rays fan out and break into halftone dots at their tips, with a few four-point gold sparkles between them. At the bottom the chest does not stop at a line; it scatters into gold flecks and dots.
The photo that gets the best Your Majesty
The crown sits on top of the head, so choose a photo with the whole skull and both ears in frame rather than one cropped at the brow. Face-on works best, with the camera at or slightly below eye level. A calm, closed-mouth photo gives the most regal result; a goofy grin can come through too, which makes for a funnier king.

How it prints
This design is keyed into the shirt, not boxed onto it: the black around the rays is bare fabric, and ink goes down only on the gold, the jewels, the velvet, the ermine and the lit fur of your dog. Black is its own shirt and gives the gold the deepest setting, the way jewellery looks on a black velvet tray. True navy turns the background royal blue; there, anything darker than the shirt, such as a black coat, takes on the navy of the fabric.

Is this the same as the Royal Portrait style?＋
No. Royal Portrait repaints your pet as a renaissance oil painting. Your Majesty keeps your dog as a photograph and sets the regalia and a flat gold sunburst around them, closer to a screen-printed poster than a gallery canvas.
What if my dog has big upright ears?＋
The crown is drawn on top of the head, wherever your dog's ears leave room for it. Tall ears tend to frame it rather than fight it.
Can the crown be silver, or the cape blue?＋
Not here. The gold crown, the red-and-ermine cape and the gold rays are fixed parts of this design, chosen to glow on a dark shirt. Different regalia would be a write-your-own design in the full designer.
