A polka-dot party hat, one lit candle, and confetti everywhere
Birthday Pup is the shirt for the day that is all about the dog - a first birthday, a fifth, or the gotcha day you celebrate instead. Confetti, a cupcake and a party hat do the talking, and nothing on it ties the shirt to a single year.

What is in the scene
Your dog wears a coral paper party hat with butter-yellow polka dots and a teal pom-pom, happy and open-mouthed. At the lower right sits a cupcake with swirled cream frosting, little coloured sprinkles and one lit, striped candle. Flat paper confetti - squares, dots, ribbons and curly streamers in coral, butter yellow, teal and cream - bursts out behind, with a few small sparkles among it. No blurred party lights, no table, no room: the confetti is the backdrop.
The photo that gets the best Birthday Pup
Party energy comes from the face, and the face comes from your photo, so pick the excited one: ears up, eyes bright, mouth open. The hat is drawn on top of the head, so leave some room above the ears in the shot. Front-facing at eye level is best; a photo looking down on your dog from standing height shrinks the face and gives the hat less to sit on.
The full list is on the photo guidelines page - good light, face visible, one pet, and nothing covering the eyes.
How it prints
On a dark shirt the confetti behaves like confetti: every piece is a separate solid shape of ink with bare fabric between them, and the chest dissolves into a spray of dots, so there is no box anywhere. Black is its own shirt and gives the coral, yellow and teal their strongest contrast, with the candle flame reading as a tiny point of light. True navy is a softer, evening-party version of the same print.
The preview lets you switch between every shirt colour this design is offered in, so you can compare them before you decide.

Birthday Pup questions
Can it say my dog's age?＋
Not in the artwork, which is drawn without numbers or letters - that is why the cupcake carries one candle rather than a numeral. The full designer lets you add a short line of your own text, set in type and shown on the preview before you approve.
Will it arrive in time for the party?＋
Plan backwards from the date. The shirt is printed only after you approve the preview, and delivery usually takes 7-12 business days, so order well ahead rather than in the final week.
Does it work for a gotcha day?＋
Yes. Nothing in the design spells out the word birthday, so it suits an adoption anniversary, or any day you decide your dog deserves a hat.
