The photo that gets the best Royal Lounge
A crown needs headroom. Use a photo with space above the head rather than one cropped at the ears, or the gold ends up perched on the very edge of the frame. Straight-on and level is better than looking down at your dog, which flattens the top of the skull where the crown has to sit.

How it prints
Gold is a value, not a hue - it only looks like metal when there is something dark behind it to reflect. Berry and black both give it that. On a pale garment the crown becomes flat yellow, and the sunglasses end up carrying the portrait instead.

How is this different from the Royal Portrait style?＋
This is a scene: crown, shades, espresso, drawn in the house photoreal look. Royal Portrait is a medium - it repaints your pet as a renaissance oil painting. You can browse those separately under styles.
Does the crown cover the ears?＋
It sits between or in front of them depending on the ear set in your photo. Upright ears usually frame it, which tends to be the better result.
